Diversity

At The Stony Brook School, diversity is a fundamental aspect of our identity and ethos.

Our community thrives on the richness of a student body that hails from over 25 countries and represents many ethnicities, backgrounds, and languages. We believe that diversity fosters a vibrant exchange of ideas, perspectives, and experiences that enhances the educational journey for every student. Whether it's through classroom discussions, extracurricular activities, or cultural events, our students have the opportunity to engage with and learn from individuals who bring unique insights shaped by their national and ethnic identities.

At The Stony Brook School, we host affinity groups, which allow students to connect, support one another, and celebrate their cultural heritage.

From the Asian Student Union to the Black Student Union, and the Hispanic Student Union, these organizations serve as pillars of support and celebration, contributing to a sense of belonging within our community.

Additionally, our school embraces and honors cultural traditions and holidays from around the world, fostering an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and appreciation for the diverse tapestry of human experience.
