SBS helped me to challenge myself and explore the unknown, particularly in the field of science. In my sophomore year, driven by my curiosity, I sought more information and guidance from Mr. Thiele during his office hours.

In my junior year, I joined the Advanced Scientific Research class by Mr. Bakker and did my own research project on environmental science. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in scientific research and critical thinking.

The Stony Brook School is an independent college preparatory school (grades 7-12) that exists to challenge young men and women to know Jesus Christ as Lord, to love others as themselves, and to grow in knowledge and skill, in order that they may serve the world through their character and leadership.

Our picturesque 55-acre campus, located near the Long Island Sound, offers an inspiring environment for learning and growth. With multiple dorms, state-of-the-art academic and athletic facilities, students have ample opportunities to explore their interests and develop their skills.

The campus is a short drive to the Long Island Ferry and close proximity to New York City and JFK international airport. The Stony Brook train station is directly across the street from the main gate.
